Heard this song for the first time in church and was gripped by depth of worship to love the Lord.

John 15 talks about the vine and the branches and we are only fruitful when we abide in him.

yet, so many times, we are cut off when we graft ourselves to the things of the world. We think that temporary pleasures are okay, indulging in a little is okay. We take the humanistic approach that if we live life in moderation, it is okay.

But it is not. What is not right is not right. It is living a life of compromise. When we compromise the truth, we are exchanging it for a lie, a form of self deception.

So Lord, please keep my eyes upon you, keep my heart rooted in you. Full attention on you and you alone. because I only want your voice to be louder and your face to be dearer to any other...May your words and because I love words... I want yours to be sweeter, than all the others in my life... take it away Lord...
