I won't give up - Jason Mraz
Things that are worth doing are worth doing it well.
Keeping my eyes on the cross and I won't give up.
When I look into your eyes
It's like watching the night sky
Or a beautiful sunrise
Well there's so much they hold
And just like them old stars
I see that you've come so far
To be right where you are
How old is your soul?
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
And when you're needing your space
To do some navigating
I'll be here patiently waiting
To see what you find
'Cause even the stars they burn
Some even fall to the earth
We've got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
No, I won't give up
I don't wanna be someone who walks away so easily
I'm here to stay and make the difference that I can make
Our differences they do a lot to teach us how to use the tools and gifts
We got yeah we got a lot at stake
And in the end,
You're still my friend at least we did intend
For us to work we didn't break, we didn't burn
We had to learn, how to bend without the world caving in
I had to learn what I got, and what I'm not
And who I am
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up
I'm still looking up
I won't give up on us
God knows I'm tough, he knows
We got a lot to learn
God knows we're worth it
I won't give up on us
Even if the skies get rough
I'm giving you all my love
I'm still looking up...

Have Your Way - Hillsong
This oldie reminds me of what a secret place is. When the world wears us down, and our soul seeks to find a resting place, we go somewhere whether physically or mentally.
In this modern world, people often look for exotic holidays to titillate their senses and to discover adventure.
We can also find comfort and rest by thinking of a thought, a person, an image, or a thing. Many things can make us feel good, but many of these things are soulful yearnings, soulish in nature. They are not of God. Over time, what we take comfort in, becomes a foothold in our lives. It is so subtle, because no one can see it and we let it go undetected. It escapes the best of us, until it becomes a habit and entangles us.
This song reminds me why we should make our resting place sacred. Jesus says in Matthew 11: 28-30 "28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
See to it that nothing man-made takes the place of that which was created to be filled by our Saviour.
"Therefore O Lord, have your way into our hearts. Though painful, nothing is impossible through God who gives us strength."
Be blessed!
"Have Your Way" by Hillsong (1998).
This yearning deep within me
reaches out to You.
Your oil of joy for mourning
soaks me, makes me new.
And I will go to Your secret place
Bow my knee to Your glorious throne
Have Your way in my heart oh Lord
Have Your way.
And I will go to Your secret place,
Bow my knee to Your glorious throne.
Have Your way in my heart, oh Lord.
Have Your way.
I need You Holy Spirit,
Fire to my soul.
Consume my total being.
Jesus take control.
And I will go to Your secret place.
Bow my knee to Your glorious throne.
Have Your way in my heart, oh Lord.
Have Your way.
And I will go to Your secret place
Bow my knee to Your glorious throne.
Have Your way in my heart, oh Lord.
Have Your way.
Have Your way.
Have Your way.
Have Your way.
Use my life Lord.
Let it bring glory to Your name.
Change my heart, change it God.
And I will go to Your secret place
Bow my knee to Your glorious throne.
Have Your way in my heart, oh Lord.
Have Your way.
Have Your way.
